Home and Office Maintenance
THE OFFICE
There are a handful of office clients I work for and I end up doing odd jobs and assist with projects. It's all kinds of stuff like: sound treatments, mechanical door closers, changing light bulbs,
Standing Desks, Keyboard Trays, Ergonomic chairs, White Boards, Glass Boards, Cork Boards, Assembly, Repairs of Locks and Changing them, Cleaning Exhaust Fans, Hinge and Drawer Slide Replacements. Its cheaper hiring me than paying an hourly employee as they can us me as needed. I've learned so much from working with these special project teams. I'm thankful for their knowledge and problem solving skills.
THE HOUSE
All of the above office stuff plus Changing Filters of all types: Refridge, Under Sink, Furnace etc.
FILTERS
Filters should be changed regularly usually 6 months- 1 year. Manufacturers also state suggested replacement levels, typically found on the unit. With all of the smoke we get nowadays, MERV13 filters are a must for your furnace. Deep pleated filters are the best, 4 inch if it will fit. The shallow one inch ones fill up quicker..why?, surface area! The deeper the pleats, the more surface area you get and the longer lasting it will be. Personally, I had an 25 year old Honeywell Electrostatic air filter attached to my furnace. I decomissioned the electrostatic components and built a thin wood case to house a new 4 inch pleated filter. What a difference. Do you know what is in your unit? When was the last time you changed it? If you have anyone young or old, asthma, allergies or sensitive to smoke, it's a no brainer...FILTRATION.
